ABOUT THE ROLE Location: Scotland - office based in Glasgow but flexibility around home-working available Contract: 11 month maternity cover Hours: 21 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, 3 days per week (but can be flexible for the right person) Salary: GBP21,266 - GBP22,942 per annum (GBP35,444-GBP40,057 per annum wte) To help achieve our ambitious growth targets we are looking for a highly motivated Philanthropy Manager to manage our major giving programme in Scotland. The role holder will be challenged to secure philanthropic support for Breast Cancer Care, covering the whole of Scotland, through building relationships with existing major donor prospects and cultivating new relationships. The successful candidate will preferably have a strong track-record of face-to-face cultivation and making the ask for philanthropic support, but candidates with transferable skills will be considered. Key to us is that you are experienced in growing one to one relationships with individuals. You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrable track record of planning and executing personalised cultivation and stewardship plans. You will be a member of a team of five, all the rest of whom are based in London. Therefore an element of flexibility and travel will be required. Due to this we will also look for you to be able to self motivate and work independently where needed. You will be part of a wider team of managers in the Scotland office, tasked with supporting and motivating more junior members of the team where appropriate.
