LOCATION: Retford and Worksop area
JOB TITLE: Senior / Residential Childcare Workers
SALARY & BENEFITS: Up to GBP24,147 including sleeps for Senior Residential Childcare Workers
Salary up to GBP22,410 (including sleeps) for Residential Childcare Workers
WORKING HOURS: Full time, Part Time and Bank vacancies available

some of the most difficult challenges involving young people.
THE ROLE: Our client is currently recruiting for Senior / Residential Childcare Workers to join their team in the Retford and Worksop area. The role is a demanding yet rewarding role, you will be required to develop relationships with the young people and provide a safe caring environment for them.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior / Residential Childcare Workers :-
• Encourage and support the young people with all of their daily living needs in line with their individual care plan
• Implement and maintain clear and consistent boundaries
• Be the first point of contact for the young persons' social worker
• Assisting with reports on progress, developing in-house placement plans, and contributing to statutory review reports
• Providing the young people with emotional and social support
• Recording the young people's daily and monthly progress and updating their files and child protection records
• Work closely with your manager and team, and all other healthcare professionals
• Carry out domestic duties when required within the home and garden, as well as planning and preparing meals
THE CANDIDATE: To be successful in the role Senior / Residential Childcare Workers in the Retford and Worksop area, you need to be an organised and tolerant individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships. You must hold your NVQ or QCF 3 in Children and young people in care and have at least 1 year's recent residential experience working with children for the Senior position.
Keys Skills and Experience for Senior / Residential Childcare Workers:-
• For the Senior Residential Childcare Workers - You must have a QCF or NVQ level 3 award in Health and Social Care: Children and Young People or a social work degree and 1 years' residential experience working with children
• For the Residential Childcare Workers - Experience is not essential as full training will be provided, however experience of working with children would be desirable
• A full UK Driving Licence is not essential, but would be desirable
• Theraputic work experience is essential for the Senior position
