Quality Control Technician

Due to continued expansion the Company are seeking a Quality Control Technician located from their Ellesmere Port site.

The Role:

- To ensure all products supplied from operations conforms to legal, quality & safety requirements to protect their employees, customers & brand name;
- Focusing on continuous improvement principles and challenging their suppliers and operations staff to deliver quality products on time every time;
- Co-ordinate and carry out daily QA checks on site in accordance with requirements of the QMS and EMS;
- Identify and action non-conformances & the implementation of recommended corrective actions and report to site Quality Manager;
- Support the GMP via routine inspections and follow up accordingly;
- Ensure documentation completion and record any instances of non-conformity;
- Assist in maintenance of QMS as requested by the quality manager;
- Identify and report opportunities for continuous improvement;
- Complete packaging intake quality inspections and assist in the development of packaging raw material specification development;
- Verification of adherence to metrology standards for analytical equipment;
- Quality inspections and sampling of finished product;
- Quality checks of completed loads prior to loading;
- Liaise & communicate with production managers, supervisors & operators on all items relating to product quality;
- Monitor production line set up and ensure adherence & compliance to documented work instructions.

Key Part
- You will audit the accuracy on orders including compiling data and verifying the quality of loads out the door;
- QC checks on specific (rogue frequent claiming customers) also verifying the returns process is adhered to in terms of quarantine and booking goods;
- Returned material back to stock, this can be termed generically as warehouse QC.

Qualifications / Experience:
- Experience of internal auditing preferred but not essential;
- An eye for detail important. Excellent problem solving;
- Experience in working within a team environment. Strong literacy, numeracy, communication and IT skills.
