Engineer (Electrical Bias)

We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our growing Engineering team at Bar Foods.

You will be based at our site near Newport and this role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working Monday to Friday. You will work 1 nights shift in 6 weeks, 2 afternoon shifts and 3 day shifts.  

You will be part of an established team of 11, providing an effective planned and reactive maintenance service to ensure that all machinery, plant, equipment, and site structures are, at all times, in good working order and of a high standard of repair.

You will be multi skilled and will have the opportunity to learn/develop other skills from specialists within the team.

You will support production by resolving breakdowns and drive improvement across the site in terms of machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance.

To be successful in this role you will have at least 3 years engineering experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.

Experience of PLC, Refrigeration, Control Voltages, 3 Phase Distribution is highly desirable and you will be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
