Salary: negotiable + car, bonus, pension, death in service benefits
Future Industrial Services is one of the largest providers of liquid waste removal; industrial services such as tank and interceptor cleaning; labour provision to industry; hazardous waste removal; oil/water separation and specialist metal recovery. We are a national company with a Head Office in Liverpool and depots from Plymouth to Berwick-Upon-Tweed.
The Health & Safety Adviser Role
We are one of the biggest and our aim is to be the best. To help us achieve our ambition we are expanding our quality, health & safety and environmental (QHSE) team to ensure that our employees operate in the safest working environment possible and our customers can be assured of the best quality service. We are very pleased to report that we have created a new role of Health & Safety Adviser for our Industrial Services Division in the north of the country to augment the QHSE services currently provided to our operational divisions. Our Industrial Services Division which is split between Kirkby and Rugby and you will be required to support both depots.
As Health & Safety Adviser you will be responsible for ensuring our industrial services division operates safely, maintaining compliance with our OHSAS 18001 accreditation. You will be responsible for ensuring that we meet the highest standards of health & safety management; assisting managers with operational risk assessments and method statements to ensure they are fit for purpose and adhered to; communicating the safe culture message to employees; carrying out workplace inspections and investigating any accidents, incidents or near misses.
About You
To meet the requirements for our Health & Safety Adviser position you will be an experienced adviser within the health and safety field with appropriate qualifications. You will have excellent communications skills in both oral and written English. You will have excellent IT skills, experienced in the use of MS Office applications especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. We use a QHSE database, training and incident tracking system called Effective Software so you will also need the ability to pick up new systems.
You will need to be within easy commuting distance of either Kirkby or Rugby and willing to travel between the two to provide a full and consistent service to local operational managers.
