An opportunity has arisen for a highly-skilled and dedicated PR & communications professional to join our growing digital agency based in Manchester. Reporting to the Managing Director and Marketing Director, the successful candidate will uphold our brand's tone of voice through securing key and regular placements, as well as taking a leadership role in driving brand awareness for a number of our clients. Core duties and responsibilities include:
- Drafting short and long-term strategic plans for the agency, exclusive PR clients, as well as contributing PR tactics to omnichannel clients.
- Well-versed in industry leading tools to execute creative PR campaigns, track results and compile reports and presentations that demonstrate impact.
- Proactively research media opportunities, as well as maintain relationships with journalists for multiple clients in various business sectors. Keep up to date various trends to proactively secure organic press coverage.
- Editorial contributions for press releases, brand profiles, blog posts, advertorials, pitch documents, case studies, as well as email and direct mail campaigns.
- Event organisation and management. (networking events, trade shows, industry seminars, etc.)
- Offline brand awareness strategies and creative ideas. (radio, TV etc).

The successful candidate will be organised, highly-skilled, creative and driven by results. To be considered for the head of PR & communications position, you must possess the following skills and experience:
- A well-established address book with active press contacts in the mainstream media, as well as industry-specific publications across the UK, Europe and overseas. These include press contacts in hospitality, digital media, architecture and construction, finance, sports, entrepreneurship and general business.
- Confidence in liaising with press, management, staff, and directly with clients.
- Proven track record of press coverage achieved
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Ability to think laterally and creatively and not be afraid to take the lead
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- At least 5-7 years of experience in a similar role (ideally in an agency)
