KS4 Science Teacher

Principal Teachers currently has a requirement for a Teacher of Science to commence a full time role in a Harrogate secondary school. The Head Teacher has approached PT to assist in the schools search for an enthusiastic and innovative Science Teacher to commence ASAP until at least Easter 2018. The successful applicant will need to have experience of teaching Physics, Biology and Chemistry at KS4 level and you may have a specialism in either discipline. An ability to teach to A level standard would be beneficial. You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to plan and assess to a very high standard to drive results forward in GCSE Science and ensure that all students within Years 10-11 are given the support and challenges required to succeed. You will also have pastoral responsibilities for a Year 11 form. Based in Harrogate, the school serves a diverse catchment area and has excellent facilities and a wealth of resources. The Science Department requires a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to become a part of the team and work collaboratively with fellow colleagues to drive results forward. You will be required to deliver an engaging and enriching curriculum to students of varying abilities within KS3 and KS4 and take GCSE groups. Behaviour across the school is good and you will need to uphold these standards and adopt the schools ethos.
