Experience Stock Controller with Strong Excel skills - £21k - £26k

Brook Street are delighted to present a great opportunity to work for a successful independent online jewellery retailer based in Petersfield. Our client is looking for an experience Stock Controller who has at least 2 years experience of working in a busy stock control role. Our client's sales are made to order, with a large percentage of their range being handmade in their office. The role is a full-time position working in a small open environment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and liaising closely with Production, Accounts, Customer Services and Marketing.

The right candidate for this role will be a professional who is highly proficient in excel (the client use a manual stock system), is extremely accurate and has a great eye for detail. The role is self-managed with time, and the individual will need to be able to work fast and prioritise tasks. The previous Stock Controller has created an excellent and extremely organised stock control process and therefore the right candidate will be able to slot straight in. Our client have a smaller office, with their stock located within the office, and the stock controller will be hands on with the stock (there are no big warehouses with forklift drivers to do the manual work) checking in/quality control and managing the storage of small beads & charms is all part of the role alongside reporting, forecasting, recipe building of bracelets/necklaces and managing inventory on our website. Ideally, the candidates will have a keen eye/interest for fashion.

The office environment is a busy hive of activity and open plan. They have a great team and although the role is standalone, they are looking for a team player who is happy to pitch in when needed.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Placing Orders
  • Managing Stock Levels, including critical & out of production
  • Reporting on component sales/use
  • Uploading stock & product onto website
  • Liaising with Management & Production
  • Managing out if stock items
  • Stock Take
  • Sale stock management
  • Liaising with UK & International suppliers
  • Checking in stock orders
  • Working alongside accounts & marketing
  • Approving purchase invoices
  • Raising and signing off invoice queries
  • Raw Material unit cost tracking

This is a permanent full-time position with a quick start as soon as possible. This would suit someone who has strong excel knowledge, at least 2 years experience as a stock controller and who would work well unsupervised.
