Our client is a campaigning organisation and a multi-project service provider supporting adults, young people and children with learning disabilities - and their families and carers - to ensure their needs, rights and aspirations are met.

Role Purpose: To support proactive and efficient management of finance and accounting functions of their organisation in a dynamic context.

Reporting to the Head, Core Business Unit, the job-holder will be responsible for the following key duties:

• Develop and implement processes, policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget accounting and payroll
• Provide periodic reports on key financial performance to the units
• Develop and maintain a fixed asset register
• Ensure that appropriate level of insurance is maintained
• Manage stakeholders e.g. HMRC, Banks, Local Authority, etc.
• Prepare and maintain the pension schedule
• Support in the account receivable and account payable functions

Their ideal candidate should be a qualified accountant (or nearly qualified at a minimum, with relevant experience), able to manage self and others, demonstrate flexible and professional friendly attitude. You must build positive relationships with their diverse group of clients and their families/carers and relevant stakeholders.
