Head of Product (telecoms messaging)

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Head of Product working in Marketing for a Global Telecommunications mobile messaging business. This is a permanent role based in Brussels. Salary is 68000 to 78000 euros, negotiable. Customer communications in dealing with proposals etc. and organise internal and external communication to launch product services.

Responsibilities of the Head of Product (messaging) position:-

• Develops future roadmaps for his product line
• Tracks the commercial success and operational performance
• Responsible for the pre-sales support of his/her products and services towards large prospects.
• Manage pricing and perform rates maintenance

Skills and Experience required:-

• Telecommunications engineer with marketing experience or commercial engineer with very strong technical knowledge of telecommunication networks
• 7 years of professional experience, of which minimum 2 in mobile messaging and signalling
• Start-up experience a major plus, entrepreneurial spirit
• Postgraduate business education or MBA is a plus
• Excellent English speaking and writing
• Experience in project management, knowledge of PRINCE2 is desirable
• Strong knowledge of mobile signalling, messaging (SMPP, SS7), and data networks/technologies (IP, MPLS, Ethernet)
• Good understanding of web development standards (HTTP, SOAP, REST) and APIs
