We have an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Business Support Manager with a track record of implementing new systems and processes and managing a team to join the MioCare Group.

You will be a natural organiser with an eye for detail and the people skills and abilities required to effectively lead a business support team. You will also provide executive support to the Managing Director and service the Board and Committee structure of the Group.

Terms and Conditions

Job Title: Business Support Manager

Base: Ena Hughes Resource Centre, Failsworth, Oldham

Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday  

Salary: up to £25k p.a.

Holidays: Annual entitlement is 25 days with an additional 1 day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 5 years i.e. a maximum of 30 days. The holiday year runs January 1st – December 31st.

Pension: 3% pension contribution payable by the company into the NEST pension scheme.

Business Support Manager

Role Purpose

  • To manage the Business Support team across the Group (currently at three locations) bringing a consistent level of service to all the teams that they support
  • To ensure that the corporate centre has systems and processes in place that meet the needs of the business
  • To service the Board, Committees and other meetings as required
  • To provide executive support to the Managing Director

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Schedule Board and Committee meetings to align with business need and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure information storage and retrieval systems are compliant with relevant regulatory  requirements
  • Provide professional support to the wider company business support team ensuring that best practice is implemented across the service and development needs are identified and options for development of new skills presented to the relevant senior manager
  • Manage the diary of Managing Director, prepare meeting papers and any arrangements as necessary
  • Deal with complaints and enquiries, including Freedom of Information requests
  • Manage a central log of all significant incidents   
  • Source and upload information into the company’s website and social media sites where appropriate
  • Liaise with external design and print companies to ensure agreed marketing materials are available to market the group
  • Proactively seek opportunities to secure best value prices for supplies and services required by the company
  • Ensure that resources within your sphere of responsibility are used effectively
  • Undertake any additional duties commensurate with the grade of the post
