We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Uretek we are currently looking for a Technician / HGV Class 2 Driver to come join our team based out of Winchester. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week and will receive a competitive salary of £13.00 per hour.

Uretek is a specialist ground engineering contractor providing rapid, long-lasting solutions to problems of sinking and settling foundations, slabs and infrastructure. We improve and strengthen soils and infill using expanding geopolymers. We are a worldwide organisation with a large and diverse client base.

Skills and experience required of our Technician / HGV Class 2 Driver

While we don’t ask for formal qualifications we are interested in hearing from you if you have experience in any customer facing role where you have had to demonstrate the following skills:

- Strong verbal communication

- Superior customer service

- Problem solving

- A drive to push the business forward and communicate ideas to management

- Excellent organisational skills and a self starter

- Can do attitude

- Ability to work as part of a team, showing respect and support of all Uretek personnel at all times

- Willing and able to learn quickly

Job specific skills and experience required of our Technician / HGV Class 2 Driver

We expect the successful candidate to be proficient in the following as these are key responsibilities of the role;

- Scanning for services

- Penetrometer testing   

- Performing level surveys                   

- Use of drilling equipment

- Use of coring equipment

- Use of rod driving equipment

- Use of casing system

- The ability to become competent in above skills is required.

- A basic understanding of how houses/extensions/conservatories/ roads etc are constructed.

- Class 2 HGV licence

Desirable:

- Lifting floorboards

- Mixing mortar/concrete

- Adjusting UPVC frames

- Lifting and re-laying flags and paving can also be useful but not all of this should normally be part of our remit

Training will be provided in the approach for slab stabilisation, slab lifting/re-levelling, joint stabilisation, deep injection, powerpiling.
