Identify and research future technology areas, and make business proposals for their development. Contribute to the maintenance of technology roadmaps.

Monitor and report technical and financial progress on development projects.

Monitor technical and Intellectual Property publications and advise the business on opportunities or threats.

Provide clear reporting of results, both written and presented.

Support other areas of the business - manufacturing, service, management on technical issues related to your specialist area.

Contribute to product development through your technical expertise.

Your Background - Development Engineer

The suitable candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering, Science or Technology subject, and several years' relevant academic or industrial experience - ideally in the research, design or development in the following areas:

Knowledge of areas related to cryogenics, superconductivity or electromagnetics.

Be self-motivated and able to generate novel solutions to new challenges.

It would be an advantage to be able to;

Use analytical and/or computational methods to support experimental development.

Have experience of instrumentation control, e.g. Labview.

The Benefits - Development Engineer

In return for your endeavour, my client is offering an excellent training and induction programme, competitive salary and benefits, introduction to the latest lean manufacturing methodologies and the opportunity to progress your career within one of the world's largest and most innovative technology groups.
