Employed by this milk delivery company based in Chester. A part-time roundsman or rounds woman is required for an immediate start delivering dairy and grocery products on one of our rounds to our residential and business customers in and around Chester.

You will be driving a Ford Transit milk float and will need a full clean driving licence. You will receive full training during your initial probationary period. You should be a people person with the ability to get on with people of different ages and backgrounds. Excellent customer service skills with a good command of the English language are essential both verbally and written. Good mental arithmetic is a must.

You will typically be completing 250-350 deliveries per day. How long the round takes to deliver will depend on how fit you are. Two mornings a week following completion of the milk round you will be required to call on customers and collect payment. Due to an increasing number of customers paying by direct debit there are few customers who require call backs. A maximum of three hours a week is usually spent collecting customer payments.

Prior experience in a similar role or night work is preferred but not essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

- loading of dairy and grocery products onto milk float
- ensuring all deliveries are made correctly and any order amendments and payments are made into your electronic roundsbook
- promoting goods through distribution of leaflets to customers
- invoice customers as required, ensuring keep on top of customer debts
- ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy
- admin tasks
- unloading of empty bottles and unsold stock upon return to the dairy

In return they can offer a salary of £225 a week. You will be paid weekly. An annual performance related bonus of up to £500 will be available after 12 months. To be eligible for the bonus you must have an attendance of 100 percent. Overtime will be available for individuals to cover other roundsperson's rounds when they are on holiday or off sick. You will receive 5 weeks paid holiday per year plus you will not be required to work on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
