Our Bristol Projects Team is part of a national Projects & Procurement practice which supports our clients in delivering multi million pound projects in the UK, Middle East and Africa. Our clients cover both the private and public sectors, from project developers in the power, renewable energy and waste sectors, through national defence contractors to large local authorities. The team, led by Charles Robson, is a central projects hub that works closely with other disciplines to deliver complex infrastructure projects for our clients. Recent examples include thermal and renewable power plants, district heating infrastructure, gas supply and storage plants and large defence contracts - the work is challenging and varied. The team is ideally looking for a projects lawyer who has a strong track record in the development and financing of infrastructure projects, including advising on project structuring, risk allocation and bankability issues as well as the drafting of concession and project agreements, intra-consortium arrangements (teaming/bidding, shareholders' and equity subscription agreements), feedstock and offtake agreements (including PPAs) and subcontracts. What does the ideal candidate look like? You'll be a relatively experienced lawyer in a transactional area such as projects, corporate, construction or project finance in which you've had some exposure to projects work across a range of sectors, ideally in a large city or national practice, looking to further focus your career on the development of infrastructure projects. If you've got clear sector experience particularly within thermal or renewable power which is key, although not exclusive, to our strategic growth, then we're very keen to speak with you. As important will be your ability to get to grips with a broad range of legal disciplines and to collaborate closely with, and coordinate colleagues in, other specialisms to deliver the right results for our clients. So what makes it so great to work here? We're proud of our enviable reputation in the energy sector, and our Projects Team is a major part of that success. In this role you'll be pivotal to the continuing growth and development of our projects offering, growing an important strand of our business from a strong platform of loyal and happy clients. Supported by clear personal development, and the chance to learn from leaders in their field, this role provides an opportunity for a lawyer in the early part of their career to develop a true career path in a regarded specialism. Working with the highest calibre clients, in a collaborative collegiate environment, we believe this to be a unique opportunity for the right person. We've continually work hard to create an open culture that sets us apart from other firms. Our culture gives us much more of a human feel, emphasising that we're more than just suits! We like and make time for each other enabling us to establish professional relationships that become lasting friendships. And that's not all, alongside a competitive salary you'll receive a flexible benefits package so you can pick and choose between the benefits that matter most to you.
