eSift are currently looking for a part qualified Accountant looking for the chance to move into a fast-paced finance team with the opportunity to continue their studies in a supportive environment. You will be joining our client, a global Security organisation.

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Salary: GBP26-GBP29k with study support

This role requires an experienced Assistant Accountant able to provide analysis support and key reconciliation of controls in respect of our clients Fire and Security Systems Business. This will include regular liaison and co-operation with other members of all the Fire and Security Systems Departments, Head Office and other group companies.

The primary objective is to support the smooth operation, input and accurate maintenance of the General Ledger relating and to be actively involved in the refining of procedures and the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Key responsibilities include assisting in the production of monthly accounts and month end reports, monthly reconciliation of all relevant GL accounts, preparing and posting journals, maintaining schedules for leased vehicles, maintaining details of contracts, gain and losses and assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process.

To be successful in this position you will have/be;

• Minimum of part qualified with one of the recognised accounting bodies.
• 3 years+ experience in an accounting role
• Accurate and methodical
• Proactive and responsible
• Adhere to agreed procedures with the ability to demonstrate initiative
• IT literate with good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Keen to own and resolve issues
• The ability to work with the minimum of supervision
• Good communication skills
• Highly numerate
• Personable
• Able to work as part of a team or under own initiative.
