Our client is seeking experienced Reach and Counter Balance fork lift drivers to work Monday - Friday, working working various shifts starting at 06.00, 08.30, 10.00 or 13.30 and finishing at 14.30, 17.00, 18.30 or 22.00, depending on shift start time.
Applicants must have both Reach Truck and Counterbalance Fork Lift licences taken or refreshed within the last three years.
Primary duties will be loading and unloading vehicles, moving palletised stock in to the warehouse and on to racking (Max. 6 pallets high) and recording these movements. You may also be required on occasions to assist with order picking both by the pallet and the case.
Most stock to be moved is high value and highly fragile so our client is looking for highly competent fork lift driving skills and will require a driving assessment as part of the interview process. Previous and very recent fork lift experience is essential.
The company may cross train and certificate suitable workers to drive Very Narrow Aisle Man Up fork lifts (where the cab goes up with the forks) if a licence is not currently held - part of the VNA training will require abseiling out of the cab at maximum height.
Due to the location of the company applicants will require their own transport to get to and from work.
These vacancies are expected to lead to permanent employment but will initially commence on a temporary to permanent basis for applicants not currently in employment
