They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor to join their team based in Leicester where you will manage the day to day control of drivers and allocation of vehicles whilst supporting the site Logistics Manager in ensuring the efficiency of all legal requirements in relation to the site Operator Licence. The working hours will be  Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm, although initial training will be completed during normal working hours.

Within the role you will make sure the transport fleet is operated at all times in line with EU regulations. Planning the workload on a daily basis, ensuring the load fits onto the vehicles and the driver has sufficient time to complete the journey, you will conduct audits on the Drivers which include that they are completing their daily walk rounds, are carrying their Driver CPC card and have their Digital Tacograph card.

They are looking for someone who has experience of working in a professional logistics department, with hands on experience and who is able to work alongside the drivers. A Transport Manager CPC is desirable as is having a H&S qualification (such as IOSH or NEBOSSSH). 

With a full driving licence, and ideally a Class 2 licence, you will have extensive knowledge on EU Tacograph regulations and the Working Time directive for transport regulations. We are also wanting someone who has a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and is PC literate.
