Managing Director - Financial Services/Insurance

This company is a small, highly successful insurance broker providing a range of specialist products to meet clients travel and extreme sports needs.

The Role:
Due to the incumbent MD needing to step out of the business, a unique opportunity has been created for a sales oriented individual to join a ready-made growth opportunity; it could be career defining.

Backed by Private Equity Investment, they are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the role of managing Director. Reporting to the main Board, the successful candidate will come from a regulated background and be looking for more responsibility and the next "step up".

They're not looking for the "finished article" (there is support available to help develop the right person), more a very motivated person who is prepared to work hard and lead by example. That said, you must be good at sales, 80% of the role being about sales and business development.

- Deliver growth from existing clients
- Lead the management team

Essential Skills/Experience
- Highly developed leadership and commercial skill
- Experience drawn from a similar role within general.life, health, travel insurance or similar environment
- Ability to demonstrate working in a reactive customer-facing environment
- Strong negotiating skills with high level of contractual and commercial awareness
- Track record of delivery of strategic business objectives

You will have experience of the following roles / sectors:
Director, Business Manager, or Senior Sales Manager, Financial delivery, Insurance Sales, Line Manager, Business Strategy, Budgets

You will be a results driven individual and a deal closer.

Other skills and experience and attributes include:
- Experience of working in a targeted environment
- Having the ability to think on your feet
- Numerate with excellent communication and presentation skills - both writing and oral

They are offering £55k - £75k OTE, (neg.) plus excellent benefits package
