Are you looking for a rewarding career? Have you worked in a residential setting? Then keep reading, as we might have an excellent opportunity for you in Sheffield.

I have a Deputy Manager role and a Senior Support worker role available for a residential care home for children and young people in Sheffield

The Deputy Manager Role

Located in Sheffield, we require a deputy manager with experience working with younger people for a 4 bedded residential children's home. The young people based at this home have various support needs, some of which are of a sensitive or challenging nature. As a deputy manager, you must feel confident when handling challenging behaviour and have understanding of the types of issues faced by young people in care.

Your day to day duties as a deputy manager are varied and will involve work with the service users, your staff team and supporting your home manager. A typical day will see you being the escalation contact for staff, shift planning and assist the manager. Your ultimate goal is to motivate and care for the young people at the home and ensure their quality of life is the best it could be. This may be easier said than done, so experience of building trust and rapport with hard to reach clients is vital to ensure success in your role.
