We are currently working in partnership with a company who work within the precision engineering sector for several well-known clients supplying products for several sectors. At present due to rapid growth our client is looking to take on a time served CNC Turner/Online Programmer. This is a full time contract vacancy and in return you will be offered a competitive salary and a benefits package which includes 33 days holiday (including bank holidays- after qualifying period), free car parking, and a company contribution pension scheme.

As part of the engineering/manufacturing team you will be a skilled and experienced CNC Turner/ Online Programmer. You will be required to programme at the machine interface. Will inspect and ensure manufactured components are to drawing and of an acceptable standard, will have a sound knowledge of tooling specifications. The suitable candidate must have time served within CNC machines and the ability to work under own initiative.

Location: Pontypool, South Wales

Salary: £30,000 per year - Days Only

Key skills, Knowledge and Responsibilities:

• Setting, operating and programming CNC milling machining centres
• Sound setting experience and must be able to set without supervision
• Ability to inspect machined components to engineering drawings
• Experience and ability to write/edit online programmes 
• Setting, proving out programmes and running machining centres, producing finished components to the highest standard
• Ability to read from technical drawings and set up machinery as required
• Using own initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Able to approach work with a degree of flexibility due to the varied workload
• To work as part of a larger team
