Full time position Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30
Purpose of the position
The Stable Company wish to offer an exciting opportunity to develop ground works capability within its business structure. We are looking to offer our clients a competitive ground works service such that customers experience a complete care solution from us.
Day to Day operations
Your role will be to develop and manage a ground works service to our business. You will be helping our sales team to develop the capability to price on site works and formulate a competitive offer to the customer.
You will then be required to deliver the ground works, supported by our Operation team. In the short term, you will be responsible for recruiting and developing a specialist site team.
·supervising and overseeing the direction of groundworks projects (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with the office to monitor costs;
·liaising with the client, other construction professionals, employees and, suppliers;
·coordinating and supervising construction workers;
·selecting tools and materials in-conjunction with our operations process;
·working with our QSHE Manager ensuring construction and site safety;
·checking and preparing site reports, designs and details to deliver a successful project;
·maintaining quality control procedures;
·finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crop up;
·assessing and minimising risk;
·writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork;
·helping to negotiating contracts and securing permits and licences
This role will interface with all aspects of the business internally. The core areas will be Sales, Manufacture, Purchasing, Installation and Design. In addition the role will be required to interface externally with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
It is essential that you have an all-round experience of ground work projects and that you can demonstrate your ability to lead teams of ground work professionals to deliver successful projects. You should want to further your career and be able to demonstrate ambition to grow this role.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree or similar in construction or project management.

Salary and Conditions:
Salary circa £30,000 dependent on experience.
Full time position Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.
Some travelling to sites around the UK, but no long term staying away from home.
29 days holiday including bank holidays per year taken at set intervals in agreement with the Company.
Additional holidays will be accrued for loyalty to the business.
This position is permanent.
