Machinist

We are currently recruiting for a manufacturing team member with CNC experience to set and operate a number of different engineering manufacturing machines in a production department including sliding head CNC's, along with the use of various inspection equipment and the completion of documentation.

Key tasks & Responsibilities:
To receive and check materials for production
To set machine in accordance with requirements
To operate a range of engineering manufacturing machinery
To check and ensure quality of product is to standard
To ensure an effective handover to following shift where appropriate

Candidate Requirements:
Experience in turning or any other engineering machinery operation preferably with sliding head experience
The ability to meet high standards and work accurately on a consistent basis
A self motivated and focused attitude
The ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings
The ability to use measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and micrometers

Hours of work:
Initially on days (8.00am-4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, 8.00am - 1.20pm Friday)
When trained, the shift will change to a double day shift pattern (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm rotating shift).

Pay Rate is depending on experience plus a 20% shift bonus for working double day shift.
