Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
The Company:
First People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer on a 6 month contract basis.
Our client are an international consulting engineer and involved in an extensive range of project types including commercial, industrial, environmental and urban development.
They have several offices across the UK and are currently needing support within their Warrington team. Their office is located within the City Centre and is easily accessed by public transport.
The Job:
The role will involve working on a large number of projects as part of a team of engineers working for both public and private sector clients.
The main responsibilities include:
* Prepare and support electrical tender and design solutions in regards to the client's UU CDP framework.
* Refurbishment of treatment works, pipework, layout developments and pump stations
* Make recommendations in regards to the design, developments and improvements of control systems
* Developing business relationships by liaising with internal and external clients
* Mentor and guide team engineers and technicians
* Travel to various projects to assist the implementation, design and maintenance of projects
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be:
* Degree educated in an Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering, or Information Technology discipline
* Experienced in the design and programming of major brands of DCS/PLC and SCADA products for municipal or industrial type facilities
* Experience in facility automation, design and integration
* Experienced with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens SCADA programming
* Experienced in Instrumentation selection and design and Network design
* Experienced of the design, fabrication and testing of I&C and SCADA control panels
* Able to demonstrate standard engineering techniques and procedures
* Able to communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced working environment as part of a cohesive team
