A Quality Systems Engineer is needed by a growing Engineering company in Tyne and Wear
This pivotal role is to provide oversee the internal assessment programme, ensuring that all assessments are conducted on time and to the required standard. You will have detailed working knowledge of recognised standards such as ISO 9001:15, AS9100:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001:2015. It would also be advantageous to have working knowledge of IRIS 0.2 or ISO/TC 22163, and OHSAS 18001:2007 & 2008.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will facilitate and drive internal improvements to ensure compliance and enhance overall performance, liaise with assessment agencies and take active part in 3rd party audits, including deputising for the Head of Quality, and update applicable business system policies, documents, procedures and work instructions when required.
The successful candidate will likely be qualified to HNC level or above in quality assurance, be a qualified Lead Auditor or equivalent, and have experience working within a manufacturing environment.
