Administrator / Part Time Case Worker
Are you looking to work 30 hours per week?
Can you commit to an 8 month contract ending April 2018?
Do you have experience or a first hand understanding of working with adults with Asperger Syndrome or High Functioning Autism?
Are you able to work outside of core office hours on occasion?

Office Angels are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a non-profit organisation based in the heart of Brighton. The role is working as part of a small, friendly team for a Big Lottery funded charity.
Providing support and advice to adults on the Autistic Spectrum on accessing and maintaining benefits they are entitled to, your responsibilities will include:
* Meeting with clients to assess their needs
* Supporting clients in the application process
* Completing application forms and writing supporting letters
* Providing support services for the parents, partners and carers of adults with AS or HFA
* Attending regular case work supervision meetings with the Strategic Development Manager
* Be a first point of contact for all enquiries, whether by telephone, email or in person
* Assist enquirers in accessing appropriate services, ensuring privacy and confidentiality is upheld
* Providing administration support to ensure the smooth running of the office
* Spreadsheet management and development and maintenance of administrative systems and procedures
* Attending social activities outside of office hours on a rotational basis
To be considered for this role you must:
* Have at least 1 years recent experience working with people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition or other social and communications conditions - or have first hand understanding
* Be IT literate, with the ability to use IT skills creatively and flexibly
* Have the ability to work with challenging behaviour and de-escalate difficult situations
* Work with empathy and tolerance and remain calm and composed
The role is working 30 hours per week, 4 days per week. Core hours are 10.00 - 16.00 although there is some flexibility.
This is a fixed term contract until 30th April 2018 with the possibility of being extended.
You will benefit from an annual salary of GBP23,000 p/a pro rata, 25 days annual leave pro rata + bank holidays, modern bright offices in the heart of Brighton with on-site shower and bike store and more!
