My client is a Global Specialist Lender based in the Thames Valley area and are looking for a passionate Underwriter to join their Underwriting team.
They are looking for a passionate, motivated individual with proven experience in an underwriting role. The ideal candidate will have at least a years' experience manually underwriting proposals within a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
• Underwrite proposals/deals adhering to credit policies and SLA's
• Take responsibility for own portfolio of proposals, ensuring proposal queues are reviewed in accordance to agreed targets
• Responding and resolving to internal queries/enquiries within targeted time frame
• Undertake testing and tuning of scorecards
• Work towards personal telephone statistic targets
• Adhering to all company regulatory processes and policies
• Review SLA adherence and performance reports with line manager
Skills and Experience required:
• Strong analysis skills - confident understanding and interpreting financial statements (P&L sheets, cash flow etc)
• Previous experience in an underwriting or credit analyst position within a regulated environment
• Excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills
• Confident at making credit decisions and taking ownership over proposals
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas/insights to non-technical members of the team
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extremely self-motivated / Operate independently
The company is based within the Thames Valley area and have on-site parking.
Alongside the basic salary of up to GBP35K they offer a competitive benefits package and a friendly working environment
