HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician
Location: Wellingborough
The client is a commercial vehicle dealership; they are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician with the opportunity to step on board with a dynamic and driven truck manufacturer.
This company will offer the succesful HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician not only excellent earning potential but guaranteed training and development.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles to MOT standard
- Diagnose faults and rectify all types of faults
- Service and repair customer vehicles or components using appropriate equipment and tools
- Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as required
- Liaise with parts department to attain parts
- Complete all paperwork as necessary
- Ensure appropriate clocking is made and all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to
Requirements:
- City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician.
- The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure
- Experience working with trailers, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines
- Ability to actively seek solutions to problems
- Excellent customer care skills
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
- Flexible in hours and approach
- Having a C+E (class 1) Licence would be preferred but not essential
