One of Cambridge's highest respected pharmaceutical businesses are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant on a contract basis for a period of 12 months. The business have a large finance function and this role will work for the Group Finance Team and report into the Financial Controller. Successful applicants will be studying towards a professional Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or will have completed their AAT studies and be looking for that next step! Candidates must have experience of transactional duties, month end tasks, reconciliation's, the production and processing of accruals and prepayments aswell as experience of complex finance processes and systems.

The main duties of the role will be as follows:

?? Reconciling the Year-end Management Accounts and US GAAP packs to the statutory accounts by working closely with the Accountant
?? Budgeting
?? Pension adjustment budgeting
?? Utilising and maintaining budgeting software for production of the P&L
?? Working with the Senior Accountant to pull together the budgeted balance sheet
?? Proof reading of budget book
?? Producing the quarterly US GAAP packs and year-end US GAAP pack (this will include liaison with other parts of the wider business)
?? Calculating yearly adjustments
?? Annual statutory accounts of the Healthcare trust for review by the trustees

?? Working closely with the Accounts Assistant to ensure:
?? Maintenance of the GL and cashbook
?? Recording, monitoring and budgeting Royalties receivables and payables
?? Balance sheet reconciliation's for relevant accounts
?? Quarterly National Statistics reporting
?? Improving and driving reporting efficiency across the team
?? Other ad-hoc work as required to support the rest of the wider finance teams

Assist with/cover for:
?? New budgeting software implementation including scoping, testing, report building
?? Review of Balance sheet recs
?? Management of year end processes for the Group of companies from system procedures through to statutory accounts
?? Cover for Cash Manager Responsibilities
?? Posting and managing the intra-group recharge journals
?? NPHL Group Corporation Tax computations:
?? Completion of capital tax provisions and computations ready for review
?? Review of disallowable tax analysis
?? PSA Review and Submission
?? Intercompany recharges
?? Review of monthly export rebate calculation
