Youth Coach – Environmental Charity

Our client has a dedicated Youth Team delivering a successful Youth Programme which engages with young people across their region.

They are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic Youth Coach to join their team and lead in the engagement of young people and young adults aged 16 to 24 who are not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) and who are likely to be disengaged and have a range of complex barriers to progression.

Location: Redcar, North Yorkshire
Salary: Circa £19,578 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term

The Youth Coach post is funded by the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) and European Social Fund (ESF) as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England, which will help to move young unemployed people closer to the labour market, whether that’s getting a job, setting up their own business, starting an apprenticeship, or progressing into further learning.

Essential Skills

• The ability to pro-actively recruit, support and progress own case-load and work towards set monthly targets
• A positive approach that is flexible to adapt to the needs of the young person
• Experience of finding new opportunities within the local area for young people through networking and developing relationships with training providers and employers
• A professional qualification in either Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), Youth Work or a related subject to a minimum of NVQ Level III
