TITLE: Nightshift Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative-Permanent
LOCATION: Northampton, Northamptonshire
WORKING HOURS: Full time, Monday to Friday 1700 - 0300 Permanent (50 hours a week)
SALARY: Standard Rate GBP8.00 per hour + 15% (GBP1.20) Shift Allowance payable on all hours worked 2200 to 0300 and only on shifts worked
Overtime Rate GBP9.00 per hour

THE ROLE: Nightshift Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative- Northampton, Northamptonshire- Northampton, Northamptonshire
Receiving, storage and dispatch of goods ensuring quality and efficiency, and the achievement of targets set
Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives
Maintain a sound understanding of the distribution process and how this impacts on the requirement for goods to be transported to, from and around the warehouse/yard
Load and unload vehicles/containers using forklifts/pump trucks in line with company safe systems of work
Verify the condition of deliveries, ensuring you do not accept damaged goods
Make up orders ensuring correct products picked, correct quantity of product picked and correct clear labelling ready for distribution
Comply with all company policies, rules and procedures at all times
Undertake training, development and re-assessments as required to meet legislative or organisational requirements
Desired Skills and Experience: - Nightshift Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative- Northampton, Northamptonshire
Previous experience in a similar role highly desirable
Happy to work permanent night shift 1700 to 0300 Monday to Friday essential
Able to work with limited supervision
Good communication skills
Valid Counterbalance licence essential
Reach Truck Licence desirable
Due to the nature of the role which requires dealing with heavy goods, candidates should be physically fit. You will be self-motivated, able to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers alike whilst working to achieve daily targets and deadlines
