We are currently working on an exclusive basis with our hugely profitable and growing client based in Rotherham with their search for a Management Accountant to work within their contract accounting department.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast paced business that can offer a varied and interesting role immediately and offers long term prospects to progress within the team.
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, your duties will involve:-
-To provide support in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting in the Contracting Business based around the UK
-Manage the day to day financial transactional processes to ensure the above and maintain good relations with internal and external stakeholders
-Provide support to the Contracting Senior Management Accountant and Head of Finance in the preparation of forecasts for the financial performance on a periodic basis for consolidation with other business sectors to provide visibility and allow appropriate corrective actions to be taken
-Provide support in the preparation of the month end accounts for consolidation upwards (3 day close)
-Assist in the completion of the detailed periodic budgeting and reforecasting processes (RF1, RF2, Budget and RF3) for consolidation upwards to provide visibility of financial performance and aid corrective decision making
-Assist in / responsible for the completion of the monthly cost to complete process for part of the Contracting Sector to provide accurate and up to date pictures of the financial performance of contracting projects ranging from GBP1m to GBP10m
-Responsible for the monthly balance sheet account reconciliation
-Assist in the preparation of information for the Exec and Senior Team for monthly Sector meetings to provide visibility of financial performance
-To form part of operational or finance related project teams as and when required
Suitable candidates:-
-Financially and commercially astute qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
-Experience of SAP Accounting systems preferred
-Experience of Project accounting and the construction or manufacturing industry desirable
-Advanced user of Excel and Reporting Tools
