A new and exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Customer Quality Engineer who has experience within the automotive industry to join an established manufacturing company. Offering a competitive salary of GBP24,000 to GBP30,000 per annum, this is a permanent, full time position. The main responsibility of the Customer Quality Engineer is to ensure that all components meet all customer expectations, as well as being capable of effectively taking action when non-conformances are found.
This highly successful manufacturing organisation recognises the importance of delivering high quality products to their customers, and they are currently seeking somebody who has a proven track record of facilitating continuous improvement and is passionate about quality processes.
This role consists of a variety of duties and responsibilities which includes the following:

Regularly collaborate with engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturing designs
*
Participate in the development of failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
*
Lead PPM improvement plan for strategic clients
*
Facilitate and promote use of relevant problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and corrective action
*
Provide support to the Operations department to ensure consistent application of relevant techniques
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:
*
Experience in the automotive industry
*
Exceptional mechanical aptitude, with the ability to demonstrate understanding of mechanical processes
*
Customer quality assurance and previous audit experience
*
Experience in a manufacturing environment, along with previous experience of using Continuous Improvement methods
*
Computer literate, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office
This position is based in Gloucester and is easily commutable from Cheltenham, Swindon and Bristol. For this role, you will receive a salary of GBP24,000 to GBP30,000, plus excellent company benefits.
