Location: Dudley
Salary banding up to GBP30k
25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays

Working Hours: 8am to 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 2pm Fridays
The company are an expanding manufacturing business in the West Midlands. They employ circa to 100 people and have a Machine Shop, Mould Shop and full fabrication facility on site. Due to increased workload they now have a key requirement for an apprentice trained Toolmaker to join the business.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for aiding in the development of new work, trialling, debugging and modifying new tooling as well as setting and completing try outs in the presses.
Maintain and strip, inspect, repair and rebuild tools for our existing customers.
Liaise with setters to ensure tooling is repaired and back in service in a timely and efficient manner.
Be responsible for routine maintenance for all press tooling (20 - 300 ton power press tools, both progression & second operations)
Be responsible for jig & gauge making.
Be involved in productivity improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Mechanical engineering apprenticeship. (City & Guilds / Btec / NVQ)
Experienced in all formats of machining (milling, turning, drilling & surface grinding)
Experience in CNC machining would be desirable.
Experience of 5S
