This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist residential and educational service for individuals with a range of needs, including extreme physical and learning disabilities, and complex needs. Located on an impressive site they are currently undertaking a 6 million full site re-development. State of the art facilities include sensory rooms, recessed trampolines, hydrotherapy pool, along with paddocks and extensive gardens.

As Senior Support Worker/Practitioner, you will lead your team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment. You will ensure the residential school is run to a high standard, and each individual child/young person has the quality support and guidance they need. This could include:

  • Monitoring performance of staff, through supervisions and appraisals.
  • Liaising with families and external agencies to represent the young person.
  • Inspiring and leading staff to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Ensuring a proactive, positive and friendly approach with fresh new ideas.
  • Recruitment and selection of care team members as required.
  • Promoting equality, acknowledging young people’s differences and uphold their rights.

What experience and qualifications will you need?

  • Supervisory experience within a similar role
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
  • Hold a QCF/Diploma in Residential Childcare or Young People’s Workforce
