Image Insight are excited to be recruiting for new team members to join our expanding Technical Team. The role involves working as part of a dedicated team to build, configure, install, and support, quality automated photographic solutions. As a Service Engineer you will be expected to undertake site assessments and surveys, carry out all necessary mechanical and electrical servicing and commissioning of systems and equipment, and ensure detailed reporting and feedback is provided. The role involves travel to various sites across the UK as well as some international travel and unsociable hours. Additionally, the role involves workshop based servicing and repairs of photographic equipment, and a large amount of customer support.
Configuration of IT and photographic equipment.
Installation and servicing of our turnkey solutions within the UK & Europe - Hardware and software.
Technical support (remote desktop, phone, email & face to face).
Maintenance and repair of systems.
Ability to work under their own initiative, within established procedures and as part of a team.
A sense of urgency and simplicity, and must possess strong system skills.
Experience in a customer-facing role or with first line support.
Experience of working remotely at client’s sites.
Positive attitude with polite manner and smart appearance.
Analytical approach and keen problem solving skills.
Demonstrable experience across multiple platforms including Mac OSX, Windows & ideally Linux.
Proven experience in networking - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN configuration.
Knowledge of Apache, MySQL and PHP advantageous.
Programming language desirable.
Competency with basic hand tools.
A positive ‘can do’ attitude, and ownership of issues.
Good working knowledge of H&S practices.
Full clean drivers license & valid passport.
