HGV Technician
Scorrier/Redruth
Temporary full time
GBP12.75 per hour
Jobline Staffing is recruiting for a temporary HGV Technician for CORMAC to join their team in Scorrier. The role will be an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent for the right person.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Duties will include servicing and maintaining specialist vehicles, carrying out a comprehensive range of service, maintenance and repair work associated with vehicles, plant and other equipment.
• Duties will also include carrying out other work in relation to vehicles and plant being undertaken for the Fleet workshops customers, this could be on customer premises or construction/landfill sites.
• Ability to operate workshop equipment including lifts, pressure cleaner and break testing machine.
• Repairs on vehicles and machinery will require specialist craft skills such as coachwork, welding and specialist diagnostic work.
• You maybe required to carry out MOT tests and licence inspections of HGV vehicles if trained.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• NVQ level 3 in Vehicle Service and Repair Essential
• Good knowledge of Plant Vehicles/Machinery
• Previous Experience Similar role
• Servicing
• Repairs
• MOT To Vosa Standard
• Hydraulic Knowledge
• Welding & Amp Fabrication
• Class 2 Licence Preferred
The normal duties of the role will involve travel on a regular basis. It is a condition of employment that the role holder can exercise good travel mobility and can meet the physical demands in order to fulfil the obligations of the role.
