We are currently looking for Senior Financial Accountant for our Southern division. Our Southern division is a strong business unit based in Chertsey. This is an integral role in the Southern division's accounting team, with good opportunities for progression and development.
The Role
This is a busy role with focus on nominal ledger, including trial balance and profit and loss calculation. You will be conducting reconciliations and the production of various reporting packs to the board on a regular basis and preparing the accounts for audit by the financial controller. In addition to this the role involves maintaining and updating our asset register, overheads, cost calculations for sales, ensuring adequate checks and controls are in place.
You will be supporting the Management Accountant when necessary in the production of monthly management accounts, as well as the wider team to manage procedures and processes, tax calculations and maintaining our internal accounting systems and spreadsheets.
About you
To be successful you are likely to be an experienced financial accountant with commercial experience ideally of the residential market. You are expected to be qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) or qualified through experience.
This role requires a methodical and logically minded person with strong systems knowledge as well as extensive Excel experience. There are opportunities to develop and grow within the role and you will be supported in your learning and development.
In addition you are mathematically minded, with a strong team spirit. In the role you will be mentoring a junior member of staff, so management experience would be preferential, but not essential.
