Our client is looking, ideally for candidates that have worked in sales or account management for a minimum of 3 years and will have a working knowledge of Microsoft. A good local knowledge of the Bicester business community would be useful.
They will have an excellent telephone manner, a demonstrated ability to work on their own initiative and be quick to pick up new processes and software.

The Sales and Marketing Assistant responsibilities will include:
Ensuring smooth day to day running of the sales office. Liaising with customers and other departments. Aiding the Sales Director.
+ Dealing with enquiries accordingly.
+ Maintain and develop the computerised customer and prospect database.
+ Respond to and follow up sales enquiries when required.
+ Creating Quotations & following up
+ Managing and developing the local market
+ Attend weekly meetings with the Sales Director to discuss progress and status of enquiries/orders.
+ Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
+ Attend, support and follow up Exhibitions as required
+ Cover for Sales Director
+ Adherence to company Health & Safety procedures
+ Website updates

The ideal candidate will have / be:

Personality: Self-starter, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Well-presented and business like. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player. Available to travel and stay for one or two nights to attend/exhibit at trade shows.

Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate and motivate via written media. Appreciates need for consistency within company's branding and marketing mix, especially Website and the Internet. Good organisational skills.

Computer skills: Must be adept in the use of Microsoft, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word. Some knowledge of Filemaker Pro ideal but not essential. Website platform is WordPress. The client is happy to give full training on both Filemaker Pro and WordPress for candidates that do not have this experience. Both systems are very user friendly.
Literacy and Numeracy: Must be a competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.

Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience managing accounts customers, particularly achieving genuine sales development. Ideal background would be in manufacturing; experience of printing would be particularly helpful
