Key Responsibilities:
To assist in the preparation (hand and abrasive blasting) and application of primary, secondary and final paint finishes on all substrates, assemblies and classes of Lifeboat
To assist in surface finish repair and rectification work to restore final finish coatings
Ability to use a variety of paint schemes, surface coatings and associated application methods
To assist in the preparation of materials and equipment associated with the relevant task/process
Confirmation and compliance of task/job delivery against standards
Understand the correct use of engineering drawings, data and documentation
Actively participate in good occupational health, safety and environmental behaviours
To apply continuous improvement (Lean) tools and techniques to shop floor and support functions
Requirement for emergency stand-by duties out of hours including weekends and bank holidays
To become involved in other ad hoc tasks as required.
The suitable candidate will hold a relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 2/BTEC, or equivalent experience.
Initial 3 month contract, going T-P for the right candidate.
Rate of pay - GBP11.32 plus GBP1.70/h holiday credit or GBP15.02/h Ltd/umbrella company
