First 2 Recruit Ltd is working on behalf of our client in Swindon who are looking to expand their team. Our client is a manufacturing company with customers throughout the UK. The role of Product Rectification and Quality Controller will be a vital part of their team, working both at their UK Headquarters in Swindon and on site on their customers' premises.

In return for your hard work you will receive a salary of circa GBP21,000 per annum + bonus.

Once fully trained in the role of Product Rectification and Quality Controller you will need to build a deep understanding of the overall business products and have a large background in carpentry and joinery. You will be responsible for defending the company's interest alongside customer satisfaction, whilst on site. You must have the ability to work in a team with minimal supervision and the willingness to do what it take to get the job done right every time, while applying to the best of your knowledge all the necessary customer skills.

You will know how to prioritise and organise their work with a team and on their own. You will have to be able to cope with pressure and deadlines.

Main Duties of the Product Rectification and Quality Controller:

- Be available to travel to supplied construction sites 2 to 3 times a week; this will imply that sometimes you will need to stay away overnight in hotels nearby and/or taking a flight to a more distant UK area i.e. the Channel Islands & Scotland;
- Use knowledge and understanding of products, power and hand tools to complete required tasks;
- Provide service that meets all safety specifications while maintaining quality workmanship;
- Maintain a safe working environment;
- Maintain a well-stocked vehicle with inventory for need and accuracy.
- Complete all paperwork required and necessary by the company and customer to properly communicate work performed.
- Liaise with Technical Manager on anything relating with fire regulations on products being used.
- Liaise with the Customer Service team, produce accurate reports.

Additional duties

- Provide support the Technical Manager and Health & Safety and Facilities Manager, and if necessary, work within our other production departments.

Essential Skills Required:

- Experience within a warehouse environment
- Organized, focused and hardworking
- Good co-ordination skills, ability to prioritize and multi task
- Keen eye for detail and quality control
- Adaptable to changes, being reactive to urgent issues as well as being proactive
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Work well under pressure

Minimum Requirements:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Outlook;
- Clean Driving Record;
- Clean Appearance;
- Very good Customer Skills;
- Experience in the Construction Sector;
- Large experience with Joinery and Carpentry;
- Organized;

Having a valid green CSCS card is a plus and a blue CSCS card would be a huge advantage.
