Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd and University of Wales Trinity Saint David
Full-time, Fixed Term for 12 months
Salary: £21,585 per annum
Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, Gaydon, Warwick
Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd (AML) and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) are seeking to appoint two Research Associates with degree level/equivalent in an engineering related discipline, as part of a SMART Partnership project.
A SMART Partnership is a project between a business and a research organisation whereby an associate is employed by the University to manage a strategic project within the company, whilst being supported by an academic supervisor from the University.
Successful candidates will be employed by UWTSD and will be based at AML where they will work within the team of dedicated and experienced advanced manufacturing engineers to develop and optimise their adhesive manufacturing process. This is an opportunity to join the AML team at an exciting time in delivering their “second century” plan.
Posts are for 12 months, however, there will be opportunities to apply for future posts with AML in relation to the development of the new St Athan manufacturing facility. Associates will also have access to significant training and development opportunities as part of the project and potential to work towards qualifications at Masters Level.
Successful candidates will be required to work collaboratively to map the existing process and develop new and optimised capabilities in the bonding structures process. They should have knowledge/experience of both components within the body structure and their function and NX or willingness to convert from another CAD system.
Closing Date: 19th September 2017, 5pm
