Project Engineer - Electronic Systems
Witney, Oxfordshire GBP30,000 to GBP35,000
A privately owned specialist in the manufacture and supply of a full range of hydraulic products in areas such as Filtration Technology, Accumulator Technology, Cooler & Cooling Systems, Electronics, Control Technology, Fluid Engineering and Hydraulic / Lubrication Systems.
Having been established for over 4 decades, the company has seen continuous growth and expansion globally. Due to the growth within the UK, major investment has been made to create a brand new facility in the Whitney area with state of the art machinery and its own Systems Engineering Department for help and assistance in the design and manufacturing of your complete hydraulic system, utilising the latest technology in 3D cad design.
Job Profile
The function of the Project Engineer for Electronic Systems is to assist the Project Manager to support relevant departments for projects which require electrical/electronic input.
The role is primarily focused on the development of electronic systems to enable and/or enhance products where required.
Duties:
• Familiarise yourself with specific products in the electronics program and other complementary electronic products not of the company's manufacture
• Assist in the development of electronic systems for projects utilising the company and/or other proprietary products to enable a complete package
• Work with relevant departments as required, supporting the electronic /electrical content of projects as they arise
• Keep abreast of developments in the electronic department and also of other products which have an electronic requirement
• Assist with programming of electronic devices using a range of languages such as C++, Java, Phython, Ladder Logic and others where relevant
• Assist with the building and testing of prototype circuits as required
Skills & Experience:
Must haves -
• Experience of dealing and communicating with customers via phone, email and fax
• Excellent Communication and people skills
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Computer skills
• Attention to detail
• High level of accuracy
Desirables -
• Degree level in Electronics or equivalent subject is desirable but not essential
• Experience in technical related sales
• Experience of dealing technical data
• Experience of dealing with hydraulic coolers and electronics.
• Experience of using SAP
• Experience of order processing
• Experience of working with quality standards
• Negotiation skills
• Hydraulic & Technical awareness/aptitude
• Understanding of Hydraulic circuit diagrams
