PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To build and wire Factory Built Assemblies (FBA) to customer specification.
To perform various other tasks and assembly functions as instructed by the production controller, team leader, Segment manager and/or Plant manager to the required standard.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / TASKS

To operate equipment and perform all tasks to the current Health & Safely regulations.

To observe the companies Fire, Health & Safety and any other applicable Policies including near misses.

To comply with the data protection act at all times.

Understand and interpret FBA layout drawings and wiring schematics.

To build and/or wire FBA boards to current company and industry standards/regulations.

Update Gemba production recording efficiently and accurately at all times.

To maintain a good level of personal presentation and house keeping standards. i.e. 5S.

Carry out any other duties within the scope of the role as requested by the Team Leader, Production controller, Segment Manager and/or Plant Manager.

To understand and continuously improve your work centre's performance through KPIs and the deployment of LEAN manufacturing practises and 3i suggestions.

To demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards customers (both internal and external) and other team members, recognising the importance and benefits of effective team working.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Have a good level of numeracy and literacy.

Skilled electrician, electrical installer or electrical engineer.

OR
NVQ level 2 Electrical installation course or equivalent.
AND
NVQ level 3 in Electrical and electronic engineering.

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge & Skills:

Have build knowledge of current CCP products or competitors equivalents.

Have a good knowledge of electrical distribution theory and correct working practises
.
Drawing error identification and correction ability.

Experience:

Experience in assembly and wiring of low voltage distribution and/or control equipment.

At least 3 years in the electrical industry or electrical side of the armed forces
