About the Company

A nationwide construction and property organisation with a growing presence in Facilities Management are looking to add Facilities Manager in Edinburgh to their PFI Maintenance team. The group has a revenue of GBP2.5bn an over 5,000 employees across construction and maintenance.

About the Role

Working on a 25 year PFI health contract, the Facilities manager will report into the Contract Manager to deliver a hard FM maintenance service to a high-profile client.

The Facilities Manager will manage a team of 5, including electricians, fabric technicians and general handypersons. In addition to this, the Facilities Manager will manage all subcontracted labour, which is used for mechanical and specialist electrical works.

This PFI contract has over 20 years left to run, and so offers unrivalled job security to the right person.

About You

You don't have to come from an 'on-the-tools' background to be successful in this Facilities Management role. Whilst you must have good experience of managing technical maintenance engineers, it is more important that you have good budget control and PFI management skills.

The most important asset you will bring to this role is your in-depth knowledge of PFI client management. Alternatively, Facilities Managers from a large single-site environment with no PFI experience, but experience of managing a demanding client with a strict service level agreement, would be considered.

About the Package
