Role Profile
My client, a well established distribution business across the UK, is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join their growing operation in Oxfordshire. The position will be accountable for the Goods In, Pick and Dispatch operation across the site, as well as continual liaison with the 24 hour transport function to ensure service levels are consistently achieved and customers are in receipt of the delivery OTIF.
Additionally, the role is responsible for all inventory management of the site ensuring stock levels remain accurate and the operation is running as efficiently as possible.
Strong leadership skills are a vital attribute for the successful candidate and with accountability for a diverse, growing team, continued development and coaching is a critical part of the role.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience within a fast-paced distribution operation, ideally within a temperature controlled, food distribution or manufacturing environment. You must be able to clearly demonstrate how you create a culture of engagement within your teams and be able to demonstrate clear examples of developing people.
Additionally, the below skills and experiences are essential;
* Degree Qualified
* Ability to work across all levels of colleague and departments being a member of a senior team.
* Continuous Improvement experience across an FMCG distribution operation.
* Commercially focused, with clear achievements against budgets / KPI's.
* IT Literate - Use / implementation of WMS systems advantageous
