Company Description, Profile and Scope of Role:
Our client is a world class, long established and growing manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant. They produce specialist bespoke products for a range of engineered applications across a diverse range of blue chip companies and sectors, including and defence, and commercial transport. They are an acknowledged European leader in terms of size and technical capabilities.

Due to continued growth they are seeking to appoint an HR Advisor/Executive Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, career focused individual looking to contribute to a strong team while further developing their skills and experience. The successful candidate will carry out HR advisory and executive administration duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare all new contracts of employment.
• Ensure all contracts of employment meet current legislation.
• Ensure that the company handbook covers all relevant issues, meets the requirements of all current legislation and complies with relevant 'best practice' (in consultation with partnering HR law firm). Produce an updated version every two years and arrange printing and distribution to the workforce.
• Ensure induction packs are reviewed frequently and made available for new starters.
• Track dates of contracts due for review and renewal, liaise with production managers and issue new contracts on time.
• Track dates of agency temps due to transfer to company contracts and issue transfer packs.
• Create and maintain personnel files (physical and electronic) for new and existing employees. Manage the personnel database, keeping data accurate and maintaining its security.
• Manage conformance with Data Protection regulations, particularly information held on the database in relation to new data protection legislation coming into force in May 2018.
• Attend disciplinary meetings with relevant manager. Record relevant information, advise and prepare responses (in consultation with partnering HR law firm).
• Oversee all non-management team recruitment for office and shop-floor, including agency and Apprentices
• Work with Training Manager in recruiting and managing the apprentice programme.
• Work with the Training Manager and other relevant managers to ensure all training records are kept up-to-date.
• Proactively identify gaps in training and consider new training requests.
• Assist managers with administration e.g. preparation of business plans, management team reports, staff bulletins, business cards etc.
• Internal Personnel News
• Prepare and post bulletins to mark staff long service, key birthdays and other special occasions.
• Manage locker allocation, key control and replacement lockers as required. (Issue keys, control master keys and list).
• Site Key Management
• Log, keep control of master keys for the site and add new keys as required. Update key list.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes:
• A minimum of 3 years' HR experience in a private sector company with over 200 employees (or an HR law firm).
• A minimum of a CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification, preferably supported by an HR degree or similar qualification.
• Excellent communication skills supported by strong English written and language skills.
• Competent using a computer and standard Microsoft Office packages.
• Highest levels of integrity are required
