Fitzpatrick Referrals is a busy, specialist referral-only small animal veterinary practice based in Eashing, Surrey, U.K. We are offering an opportunity for a highly motivated veterinary surgeon to undertake this role in our Orthopaedics department.

We have a reputation for surgical innovation and important clinical research with very large case numbers and we attract some of the most interesting and complex cases from both primary and secondary care. Whilst we operate routine cases daily, we also manufacture and deploy customised implant systems weekly and have spearheaded the development of many new techniques.

We have state-of-the-art CT and MRI facilities and this year will begin a new initiative, FIRST, the Fitzpatrick Institute for the Restoration of Skeletal Tissue. This is a purpose-built centre which will integrate regenerative medicine and custom implants for the treatment of spinal and orthopaedic disease.

The clinician will join four full-time specialist orthopaedic surgeons and three full-time specialist neurologists, supported by four ECVS residents and a team of dedicated surgical interns. We also have a very well equipped and staffed rehabilitation department. Our sister hospital, specialising in soft tissue and oncology, will facilitate interaction with several other specialist surgeons and clinicians and give access to the full gamut of support for the patient journey and for professional advancement.

We offer a generous salary commensurate with experience, pension contributions, private healthcare, life assurance, funding of RCVS registration and a CPD allowance. Applicants must be Board-Eligible in Small Animal Surgery by the American, European or Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons or be otherwise eligible for membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Closing date: 30th September 2017. Early applications welcome.
