QUALITY CONTROL TEAM LEADER (PRODUCTS & TECHNOLOGIES)
LOCATION: Ely, Cambridgeshire
POSITION TYPE: Full-time, permanent
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
Along with producing the highest quality of components, my client offers front-end consultancy, prototyping, inhouse testing and accompanies these services with cutting-edge scientific research for the petrochemical industry
They are seeking a Quality Control Team Leader to work within their products and technologies sector. This is a newly-created role, due to expanding workload.
Main duties include:
* Create & control quality inspection processes and procedures
* Carry out dimensional inspections, both in-house and at our sub-contractors' locations
* Keep detailed records of inspections
* Co-ordinate & document rectification processes
* Co-ordinate & document continual improvement processes
* Provide contract-related QC documentation
* Inspect, monitor, audit and assess staff and processes
* Complete conformance checks and manufacturing audits
* Control inspection equipment.
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications related to machining and assembly inspection techniques OR be able to demonstrate experience working as a team leader within a machine/assembly shop inspection environment or equivalent. Applicants will also have the ability to read engineering drawings and to work to fine tolerances.
My client is seeking a candidate with proven leadership and problem-solving skills for this role, who can also write processes and procedures.
Due to the requirement to travel as part of this role, a driving license is required and candidates will be willing to show flexibility in this regard.
