Due to large scale expansion, our client is looking to recruit a key member of their Platform Operations Team. Working in a dynamic environment at the cutting edge of technology you will be in charge of a team that proactively monitors and maintains the platform to global customers on a 24/7 basis.

The Role:

- Undertakes diagnosis and investigation to address technical issues or adverse trends
- Acts as a point of escalation for technical issues from Associate engineers and 1st line engineers.
- Provides technical mentoring and documentation to benefit the team.
- Plays an active role in developing and improving the management of the platform
- Actively communicates status of issues/events and tracks actions to ensure appropriate audit trail is in place
- Logs and documents all issues and communication and updates stakeholders as required.

Essentials requirements:

- High personal integrity, problem solving skills, reliability and dedication
- Level head, calm and clear thinking, open minded and flexible
- A thirst for learning and continued professional technical development
- Ability to work to deadlines, and possess excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Highly developed communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex issues/problems to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience of Microsoft Servers and Technologies .Net and SQL, virtualization, security, SAN, cloud technologies.
- Availability for On Call rota cover

Desirables requirements:

- External customer facing skills within a support desk ideally supporting a web based internet service operating in a 'real time mission critical environment.
- Proven track record working with customer support teams and development
- Experience of virtualization, security or SAN and cloud
- Minimum of 2-3 years operations experience in a highly pressurized 'real time mission critical environment.
